EDM HOLE POPPING (small hole EDM)

Small hole EDM compliments our wire EDM machines by quickly generating starter holes through seemingly impossible-to-drill materials or thicknesses, greatly reducing cost and turnaround time.

We can pop a hole through 13 inches of any kind of steel! The hole popper, (EDM micro drill or EDM small hole drill) allows starter holes to be burned quickly and easily in work pieces of virtually any hardness and with dizzying length to diameter ratios. Hole diameters range from .012 to .120 inches. We use a coreless electrodes and quickly blast through any metal or carbide regardless of the hardness.
